Exams and accreditation
Owing to my incompetence or was it sheer bad luck at passing the local exams, I got to make my way to cold Scotland (at my own expense) for an exam that lasts less than a day.
Just booked the tickets after much confusion wrt pricing and taxes. So now i'm sitting in front of my computer with my book on my lap and my mind wondering.
The O levels were just released a few weeks ago. I can still remember how it was like back in 1993 when I received mine.
We had gone bowling after being released from our junior college to collect the exam results. We were told that the results would be released at 1400 hrs so off we went to Ten Pin and had great fun. In those days, we were allowed to bowl in our school uniform. haha
So it turned out that we were late for the result collection. But it was worth being late coz we missed our principal's address which is usually not very value-adding. He will be bragging about something that was not really worth bragging about. And I knew that he was going to be unhappy that most of us did not end up in our affiliated junior college.
So I went up to the counter and my teacher handed me my result slip with a wide smile on her face.
The experience was quite surreal.
All the hard work x 4 years for this slip of paper to tell me how much I was worth.
Now I have to fly to the other side of the world in the hope to receive a piece of paper that says "passed"
